Shop supervisor (start APRIL 2026) - PERMANENT position

Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday | Sunday (28 hours)
We are a small, fast-growing business based in Rugby, Warwickshire, with a busy coffee shop located in the heart of Rugby town centre. We create the ultimate brownies, blondies, cookies, traybakes, and more, alongside serving top-quality coffee, cold drinks, and a range of savoury options.We are looking for a confident and outgoing individual to join us in-store and help manage our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovative bakes and great coffee, and be eager to learn, grow, and become a valued part of the Baked team. Our shop is a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same.
MAIN DUTIES:
Be organised, hard-working, reliable and flexible.
Opening and setting up the shop for opening and prepping our coffee area.
Create an environment with your teammates which balances serving the customer and having fun
Be passionate about delivering BAKED standards, always delivering above customer expectation
Handling food & drinks.Learning the knowledge about of baked brownies and helping / guiding customers to find their items.
Operating espresso machine and serving and creating special drinks.
Cash handling.
Online till operation.
Replenish of coffee stock
Cleaning duties throughout the day to keep our high level or hygiene.
Food hygiene training (not an essential and will be provided)
Filling in and updating health and safety records throughout the day.
Being flexible to work multiple hours as these vary through the year and different events / seasons to what suits the business needs.
Ability to work under pressure and organise the team
Outgoing, friendly, strong communication skills, welcoming and warm.
Good time management.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Have at least 1 years’ supervisory experience within the hospitality environment
Barista experience (not an essential and will be provided)Food hygiene / Allergen training (not an essential and will be provided)
Be an excellent communicator, and have experience of training other staff members
Must be able to lift 15kg minimum for deliveries
Being flexible to work multiple hours as these vary throughout the year and on different events / seasons to what suits the business needs.
Must be willing to learn, work as a team and comminute, use your own initiative, take advice and take instructions.
Outgoing, friendly, strong communication skills, welcoming and warm.

Working seasonal holidays, Valentines / Mother’s Day / Halloween / Christmas etc.
Ability to work under pressure and organise staff
Understanding of stock control and completing stock takes
Understanding of wage management
Organising the Rota from month to month
Understanding of food preparation
Sorting holiday requests and shift swaps
Ensuring all orders and deliveries are received and checked correctly
To assist in all operational aspects and ensure a smooth running of shifts whilst providing exceptional customer service at all times
To assist the general manager in shift management
To adhere to all company policies and procedures
